I use a hex mage so I already set him up with a dark estoc. :) The rapier only needs 5str 12dex, where the estoc requires 12/12, but yh it wasn't really a serious suggestion as it all depends on preference, if you don't like the parry on R2 the rapier is no good tbh. I prefer the Estoc's longer range over the Rapier's extra damage (Estoc also looks cooler). The long reach also helps when I feel like attacking from behind a shield at a safer distance. I do use the Rapier off-hand so I'm forced to learn how to parry/ dodge faster, so I may switch over to Rapier again.
